The fine print, in plain words
Terms & Conditions
How preorders, pickup and payment work, plus a few important notes about our food — written as simply as we could.
Effective date: October 11, 2026. Questions? Email gardenbrewteacafe@gmail.com.
The short version
- A preorder is a request until Radia confirms it with you.
- You pick up at the market and pay at the booth.
- Changed your mind? Let us know — cancelling is free.
- Everything is homemade in a kitchen that also handles wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts and coconut.
- Herb notes are traditional knowledge, not medical advice.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or buy from Garden Brew Tea Café & Bakery — whether at the market booth or through a preorder. Garden Brew Tea Cafe is a small, owner-run business: Radia Rogers grows, blends and bakes everything herself and sells it at farmers markets on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. When these terms say “we” or “us”, they mean Radia.
By placing a preorder or buying from us, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain words on purpose — if anything is unclear, just ask.
Our products
Everything is handmade in small batches. Our teas, pastries and bread are prepared in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the Department of Health, as allowed for home-based food businesses in Hawaiʻi.
Because everything is made by hand, color, size and flavor can vary a little from batch to batch, and from the photos and illustrations on this site. Availability changes with the seasons and the garden, so a blend or pastry may sometimes be sold out.
Prices
Prices are in U.S. dollars and are shown on the menu. Some items, such as gift boxes, depend on the options you choose. Prices can change; the price that applies is the one we confirm with you for a preorder, or the one at the booth on the day you buy.
If we ever list a price by mistake, we'll let you know before you pay and you can decide whether to go ahead.
Preorders
- A preorder is a request, not a finished sale. It's confirmed only when Radia replies to you by email, phone or text.
- Please order at least 24 hours before pickup, so there's time to bake and pack your order.
- We usually reply within 48 hours. If we can't make something, or can only make part of your order, we'll tell you and you can change or cancel it.
- We may decline a preorder — for example, if an ingredient isn't available or the market is cancelled.
- Please give us accurate contact details so we can reach you about your order.
Pickup and payment
- Confirmed preorders are picked up at the booth at the market and date we agree with you — most Saturdays that's the Waialua Farmers Market by the old sugar mill.
- You pay at pickup, unless we agree on something different when we confirm your order.
- If you can't make it, please let us know as soon as you can. Pastries and bread are baked fresh for market day, so we may not be able to hold them for another day.
- We don't currently offer delivery or shipping.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
- You can change or cancel a preorder free of charge — just tell us, ideally before market day so nothing goes to waste.
- Since you normally pay at pickup, there's usually nothing to refund. If you did pay in advance and we can't fill your order, or you cancel before we've started preparing it, we'll refund you in full.
- If something you bought isn't right, contact us as soon as possible and we'll make it right with a replacement or a refund.
Allergens and food safety
Our kitchen handles wheat, dairy, eggs, tree nuts (pistachios, almonds and hazelnuts) and coconut, and our pastries may contain these or traces of them. Full ingredient lists are on the menu. If you have an allergy, please check the ingredients and ask us before buying — we're happy to talk you through anything.
Enjoy pastries and bread within a few days, and store tea in a cool, dry place in a sealed container. Please take care with hot drinks.
Herbal information is not medical advice
The herb notes on this website describe how ingredients have traditionally been used and what early research suggests. They are shared for general interest only.
These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Our teas are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you're pregnant, nursing, taking medication or managing a health condition, please talk to your healthcare provider before trying a new herbal tea. Some blends contain caffeine; they're labeled on the menu.
Market dates
We do our best to keep the market schedule up to date, but markets can be moved or cancelled because of weather or other things outside our control. Check the schedule or @teacafebakery before making a special trip.
Using this website
The text, photos, logo, illustrations and recipes on this site belong to Garden Brew Tea Cafe. You're welcome to share links and to share our posts, but please don't copy or reuse our content or photos without asking first.
We work to keep the information here accurate, but it may sometimes be incomplete or out of date. Please don't misuse the site or try to interfere with how it works.
How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Our responsibility to you
We stand behind what we make. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any problem with an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law, or our responsibility for anything that can't be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaiʻi. If there's ever a problem, please talk to us first — we'll do our best to sort it out together.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the effective date at the top shows when they last changed. The terms that apply to a preorder are the ones in place when we confirm it.
